Update Technical Contact, DNS information

How do I change the DNS and Technical Contact information for my domain name? How do I use the domain name with the site that I already have hosted by another provider?

If you already have a website that is hosted by another provider and would like to have your new domain name configured so that it direct visitors to that site, please contact your current hosting provider and ask them if they will nameserve your domain name and configure it to "point" to your existing site. You will have to update your NIC (WhoIs) record.

If your domain name was registered with us (AZC, Inc.), here are the complete instructions for transferring your domain name to your new hosting provider.

When your domain name registration is complete, you will be emailed a "registry key" which is needed in order to make changes such as this. It is included in the email confirmation message with "Registration Complete" in the subject line.

Please have that registry key handy and go to:

Enter your domain name and your registry key
Click on "Enter Management"
Click on "Delegation Details"
Enter your new provider's nameserver information there in the place of AZC's nameserver information
Go back to the main menu
This time, click on "Contact Details"
There, enter the details of your new provder in the "Technical Contact" section, in place of AZC's Domain Name Services information
Go back to the main menu
Log out

Please note that, due to internet latency, it can take a few days for the transfer to be propagated (completed) world wide.

Note that many providers of "free" web space do not provide nameserving. If this is the case, you may wish to consider having your site hosted by a provider who will provide nameserver support for your domain name as well as your web site.
